If you have been reading my Blog regularly, you know by now that this is the year of the 4o's!!!
Liz FINALLY turned 4o . . . she is the baby of the group!
I got to spend the perfect birthday with her, shopping, lunch, spa, dinner and karaoke!
Seriously, it was such a fun day, I think that we should make it a tradition. . .

Me and my BFF Liz.
We met in college, and have made so many fun memories together ever since.
Liz is an only child and I have 2 brothers, but no sisters (all of our other friends have their own REAL sisters), so I have MADE Liz be my REAL sister through the years . . . lucky girl! ha ha
First stop . . . shopping at Nordies!
Liz and I are both teachers and we obviously have similar taste in clothing, because we ended up buying mostly the same things. We now have matching jackets (perfect for recess duty because they have hoods! -teacher talk!), and matching sweaters! SCARY!
The next stop was the spa for 1 hour massages, manicure's AND pedicures!
The poor mani/pedi ladies knew our whole lives by the time we left.
talk . . . talk . . .talk!
As we were unloading our "booty" at Liz's house, it started to downpour.
Liz says that she can not ever remember it raining on her birthday before.
We were laughing so hard at the pouring rain, doug outside with the leaf blower (in the pouring rain), trying to walk in our flip flops, it doesn't take much to get us laughing!
Liz's beautiful pedicure, and dorky spa flip flops.
The weird thunderstorm did clear up and then we headed to Liz's favorite restaurant with our hubbies and Liz's best friend from High School, Tina!
Doug, Liz, Me, Tina and Pancho
Dinner was so yummy!
Tina and Liz, starting the evening off with a birthday shot!
The final stop was a cheesy karaoke bar that was actually located in a strip mall!
I can't even begin to describe all of the funny things that happened, but my stomach REALLY did hurt from laughing so hard the next day!
Making sure that you know that we all turned 4o this year!
(just in case you hadn't figured it out yet)
Tina, Liz and I got right up and sang our favorite, "I Will Survive"
We were so happy that there was an actual wedding reception going on in the cheesy karaoke bar located in the strip mall, while we were there! It was complete with bridesmaids, cupcakes and flowers! Funny scenarios like this always seem to happen to Liz and I wherever we go, probably because we think stuff like this is so funny!
The bride and groom singing karaoke!
Pancho and I sang "I've Got You Babe" and dedicated it to Katie and Sonny later in the evening! ha ha
I am sure that it was the highlight of their reception!
Pancho ruined a perfectly good picture with a boob grab.
. . . so I got him back!
Oh yes, we fit right in at the trashy karaoke bar.
Liz, me and Tina dancing with the bride and other random people at the bar!
Awwwwwww!
So fun!
We had so much fun people watching that night!
You really would not have believed all of the things that we saw, and of course everything just cracked us up!
Doug, wearing Tina's ring and Pancho wearing mine.
These two were making us laugh quite a bit as well . . . as I am sure that you can imagine!
We even scored some off Sonny and Katie's cupcakes!
We felt like part of the wedding by the end of the night.
laughing some more
Thank you Liz for inviting me to share your awesome Birthday with you!
It was one of my favorite days ever! So much fun, so many laughs and being with YOU! It was a perfect day. I really do think that we should do it again for 41! Love you "Sista"!

That was the best day ever! Hmmmm you are missing Doug's friends in your post. Maybe there is no polite way to write that in a blog. And what about Pink, Lenny Kravitz, and Blind guy. I'm gonna start laughing again. That was so much fun thanks for being there!
