. . . more Eagle Crest (with Daddy!!!)

Luckily Pancho got to come be with us at Eagle Crest too!  He finished work  in Seattle and drove 6 1/2 hours to get to Eagle Crest on Wednesday night.  We left on Friday morning, so as you can see by these pictures, we fit a lot in to a day and a half with Daddy!

The kids were so excited to finally have their Dad there to swim with!
(I try to be fun, but apparently Mom is just not the same).
Yipee!  Daddy is here!

Throwing Max into the water.
Yup, Mom can't do that!

Now its Lucy's turn!

. . .walking home from the pool.

Ever since we went to Hawaii last year, Sam has been really into snorkeling.
He carries this bag with  him every time we go to the pool and it has all of his snorkeling gear in it, then he proceeds to swim around the pool with is mask and snorkel on as well as this orange backpack (in the water).  He looks like a REAL snorkeling guy :)

Ahhhh summer!
Eating dippin dots by the pool.
Sam told me he could stay here forever!  Me too buddy!

Lucy looks pretty happy too!

Stephanie and Claire brought this cool golf game and my kids loved it so much that Steph left it for them.
We had a constant golf tournament going on!

The boys are both so competitive about EVERYTHING!
. . . and then there is happy, easy going, Lucy!

Sam REALLY wanted to see a deer up close, so we went for a hike down along to river to look for deer.

We actually saw quite a few deer across the river, with Sam spotting most of them, but we never did get to see one up close (maybe because we are so loud!)

spotting more wildlife, I think it was a jackrabbit this time

The trail went under this cool tree.

Sometimes I can get Max to stop and pose for a picture when he is stuck in a tree!

Lucy and I found this Lizard, Sam wanted to take him home of course.

I am making it sound like I am such the outdoorsy mom, taking my kids on hikes and appreciating the wildlife.  Pancho would laugh if he read this post,  because the truth is that the boys LOVED hiking and seeing all of the cool animals and rodents.  Lucy and I, on the other hand, held hands at the back of the pack and talked about how we didn't like getting our new tennis shoes dirty, lizards are gross, and hiking is scary and boring (I swear that I am not teaching her these things, but I sure can agree with her when she says them!) A girl after my own heart, we should have gone shopping together!

Sam found deer tracks and he wanted us all to follow them.

On the way home from our hike, we walked through the golf course as the sun was going down (to look for more deer, Sam was on a mission).  It really was so pretty and peaceful.

another tree climbing picture
my boys must climb any tree that looks climbable

My sweet girl!

I had not put make-up on or fixed my hair in about 4 days at this point (I find that there is no reason when you go to the pool twice a day), but I still wanted Max to get a picture of Pancho and I.

We were so sad to leave Eagle Crest.  What an unbelievably awesome week.  We had so much fun and it was so relaxing too!  On the  way home, we stopped at Sahalie Falls.
the kids in front of the falls . . .

Lulu is always willing to pose for one more pic!

I LOVE my kids!  Please stop growing up!

Daddy and the kiddos, wish we would have asked someone to just take a family shot!
Oh Well!

Da Boyz!

The girlies!

It was so much fun to have one more family vacation together before the busy Fall comes around.  It is already weighing heavy on my mind that in just 3 weeks, I will be back to work full time, Max will be playing Pop Warner (tackle) football, Sam will be playing Flag Football,  Lucy will be playing soccer, and there will literally NOT be a minute of free time in my day from the time that I wake up at 5am until I got to sleep at 11pm.  How do I do it?  I am scared just thinking about it!
