I'm not sure why I am putting this on my Blog.
It certainly is not the most attractive picture of me . . .
...but Mike and I have so much fun teaching 5th grade sometimes that we absolutely crack ourselves up!
Every year we have the stressful job of coming up with costumes that are appropriate to wear to school for our big school parade of costumes. The parents all come to watch, and the kids are usually so excited to see what their teacher will be.
(Did you ever notice how all of the costumes for women are really slutty looking?)
This year I bought us both "cop" costumes and we stayed in character all day. We called all of the kids by their last names, used really mean voices and said lots of things like "affirmative", "negative", "you have the right to remain silent" etc. We also had walkie talkies that really worked and we were constantly talking back and forth between our two classrooms to each other "calling for back up" and writing the kids tickets (they ALL wanted a ticket). Our students were cracking up at us all day and we did not even crack a smile!
I even wrote some tickets to the other teachers and a few parents during the parade, while Michael was blowing his whistle and directing traffic. I have to say, it was pretty fun!
Uhhg! Its a bad, blurry picture, but its the only one I got of my class. (I am in the top left of this picture)
It was a pretty fun day.
*on the way home, Max told me that we were hilarious and we had the best costumes :)
I guess I didn't embarrass him too bad.

Looking good Julie! I'm sure Pancho asked for the costume later:)
