Every boy's dream come true . . .

. . . well maybe not EVERY boy, but pretty much any 10 or 11 year old boy (and their Dad) that lives in Eugene, Oregon right now.
On Sunday Max and Sam got invited to go to the Oregon Ducks awards banquet, along with Pancho, for a father son day with the Franssens.  This was not an easy ticket to get (only the Franssens could pull this one off) But boy were my boys excited to go.  I have to admit I was a little jealous.

Just in case you are not quite as up to date on Oregon Football as you should be, ha ha.  This was the day after Oregon beat OSU to go undefeated in the Pac 10 and win a spot in the BCS championship game.  What a treat!

Luckily the boys came prepared with their footballs and sharpies.
They got autographs from literally every player and Coach Chip Kelly (Coach of the Year!) as well.

(taken by Pancho's iphone, so it is a bit blurry)

(Yes that is LaMichael's girlfriend, looks like he already has his trophy :)

Sam telling LaMichael that he did a great job in the Arizona game (random)
You can see, Sam's comments are cracking the other player up.

Sam, proudly showing me his football and telling me about every player that he met and what he said to each of them (pretty funny)

Max, in his Oregon Duck Bedroom, showing off his newest item in his Oregon collection.

What an amazing experience it was for the boys to get to meet the players and coaches.  Now if . . . I mean when, the Ducks go beat Auburn, the boys will be able to say they hung out for an afternoon with the National Championship Football Team!

Go Ducks!
and Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Franssens!

  1. Give it a few more years and Max and Sam might not care about the football they'll be staring at the boobies. Was that Pancho who got that great photo!!!!!!!!!!!
