Pancho and I took the kids to the Spring Game today. What a perfect day for it too. Not to hot, not too cold. We have learned that Lucy has about a "half of a game" attention span, so we got smart and took two cars today. This way, Lucy and I could leave early if we needed to :). It was such a fun and beautiful day, that Lucy and I made it through the whole game!
As Lucy and I walked into the game together.
She was pointing out all of the duck footprints on the ground to me.
We met the boys at the game.
They were so excited to be at Autzen Stadium again.
Go Ducks!
The boys kept trying to bet me that the Ducks would win ha ha!
I finally got them to settle on a real bet though.
They bet me $2.00 that the Ducks Green would win. I was betting on Ducks White.
I am now $2 richer! I love it when Mom wins!
They had the end zones roped off for some reason, but the rest of the stadium was full. It was one of those pick your own seat situations, so we sat towards the edge of the crowd.
The players all had "support our troops" written on the backs of their jerseys.
Throughout the game, they did a lot of tributes to the military, it was very cool.
The players even gave their jerseys to a group of soldiers, who are leaving to go overseas, after the game.
After the game, the boys ran down on the field to throw the ball and kick some field goals.
Max, catching the ball.
After the game, Lucy and I decided to leave while the boys were still playing on the field.
We ended up getting caught in the parking lot for about 40 min and it took us an hour to get home.
You would think that woould be a boring and frustrating situation, but it was such a beautiful day, that Lulu and I blasted the tunes, put our sunglasses on and had so much fun in the car together. Just the girls! She was loving sitting in the front seat and soaking up the sun!
*Don't worry, that was just in the parking lot, she was strapped safely in her car seat once we got on an actual road.
