How Lucky am I?
I got to go to Vegas,
I went with a group of the best friends ever,
and now I have too many fun memories and pictures to narrow down to fit in this Blog post.
Actually it was a bit of a bittersweet trip, because I found out just as I got off the plane, that my beautiful Mother-in-law Sulie Fulton had passed away, after a long battle with Cancer. On the other hand, I had been looking forward to this trip with a group of girlfriends, (some of whom I have known for almost 25 years) for a long time! We were all turning 40 this year, so we decided we needed a "Girls Trip" to celebrate. So, after checking in with Pancho, and making sure that he was OK, I enjoyed my girlfriend time to the fullest, just as Sulie would have wanted I am sure :).
These pictures are in no particular order, just a mish-mash of the fun memeories we made in Vegas.
I love you girls!
How to have fun in Vegas . . .
. . . buy many many "fat tuesday" and/or "big chill" drinks.
. . . look beautiful, and drink wine (you really do look beautiful Christy and Liz!)
. . . wear really uncomfortable high heals, but bring flip flops in your purse to change into!
. . .go out for a really nice dinner at Joe's in Caesars Palace
. . .go bra shopping together, and get free bags!
. . . wear your new bras and look beautiful again!
. . .jump for joy about turning 40 and having great girlfriends!
. . .gamble a little (and lose $$$ in my case)!
. . . put some chips in your cleavage for good luck!
. . .pose for a picture with your two best college girlfriends (and look beautiful again)!
. . . put on a crazy wig and grab your best friend's boobie!
. . .take a few shots (while holding your "big chill" drink in the other hand).
. . . go dancing at a nightclub filled with people who could be your children.
. . .wear really big gaudy rings (and do it proudly).
. . . gamble a little more
. . . watch a group of really entertaining "boyfriends" rub lotion on each other at the pool!
. . .they may even do a dance for you and your 40 year old girlfriends just to make you laugh!
. . .and make each other laugh too!
. . .have a few Kahlua and Creams at the piano bar and dance and sing until 3 in the morning with the girls!
. . .and just enjoy life! ha ha
I feel so lucky to have such longtime friendships with these beautiful, fun, caring and that's right FABULOUS girls. We have so many years of memories together, and even though we are almost all 40 (Leticia and Liz never failed to remind Amy, Christy and I that they don't turn 40 until the end of this month . . .so they are much younger than us) we are still making more memories, and having a ball doing it! Thank your girls for a fun trip, when are we doing it again? I am ready when you are!
