OK, so we are heavy into Basketball season around here. In fact we will be spending every weekend from now until mid March watching Basketball games. Max is playing on a team that plays in a lot of tournaments. This means that we usually travel to Salem, Corvallis or Albany (all about 30-45min away) and he plays in two games on Saturday and two games on Sunday. Sam always has at least one game every weekend and sometimes two. Max is also playing on an indoor soccer team that has one game every weekend. This means that we are going to anywhere between 3 and 7 games each weekend (and Lucy hasn't even started playing sports yet).
In other words . . . unless you are really into reading blog posts about 9 and 10 year old boys playing basketball . . . well lets just say that I am trying to dig up ANY other interesting thing that our family is doing to post about. Its going to be slim picking around here for a while.
So, here is post number two about my boys playing basketball . . .
Sam, listening intently to his coach and on the edge of seat watching cheering his team on!
Well . . . sort of.
Sam and his buddy Gabe, getting directions from their coach before heading into the game.
Sam is a really good defender, and he is pretty tall, so they almost always have him defending the other teams best player.
Lining up against the other team,
"point at who you're guarding"
Coach, giving orders
Sam caught this ball and then made a basket. He has been making about one basket each game.
He is doing so great, we are really proud of him!!!
Cheering for the other team after Sam's team won the game!
OK now for Max and his team. . .
Max is super fast and a really good defender!
Max, with the ball trying to make a pass.
looking a little tired after four games in one weekend.
Max putting up a shot.
He missed this one, but he made the first eight points in both of his Saturday games last weekend.
He scored ten points in one of his Sunday games.
Defending a player on the other team.
So there you have it. This is what our family's life will look like for the next 9 or 10 weekends. I promise that I will try to find something else that is semi-interesting to Blog about. We'll see . . .
